Oat Rust Forum, 2017/2018 - Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA

Invitation to the OAT RUST FORUM, 2017/2018: November 15th and 16th, 2017

RSVP by Oct 10th to assure accommodation.

Dear Colleagues:

Oat Rust Forum (ORF) 2017/18 will bring together experts from several academic, business, and government institutions for discussion and strategizing about the future of oat rust research. Please visit z.umn.edu/oatrustinitiative to learn more about the Oat Rust Initiative and past ORF meetings. In response to participant feedback we will hold our meeting over two full days to allow sufficient time for teams to plan and present.

We are excited to announce that we have been invited to have our meeting at the scenic and world-renowned Cornell University campus. This timing and location will allow our ORF participants to take advantage of an adjacent USDA/AAFC oat research coordination meeting, to be held on Nov 13-14. Non-federal participants at ORF are welcome to attend the AAFC/USDA meeting. In particular, those interested in discussions around oat databases (Graingenes, T3/Oat, and POOL) may want to attend this part of the agenda, which will be scheduled on the Tuesday afternoon. The full agenda for the AAFC/USDA meeting will be circulated to the ORI, but we ask that you register separately for this meeting by contacting Nick Tinker nick.tinker@agr.gc.ca.
