“Speaking of Oats…” and more this week!

The next “Speaking of Oats…” webinar, “The T3 Database and Applications to Oats”, will be held Thursday, January 21st at 11:00 am EST. This will be presented by Jean-Luc Jannink, Clay Birkett, and David Waring (USDA-ARS and/or Cornell U., USA).

A new webinar series called GROW (Genebank Resources on the Web) will kick off two hours before “Speaking of Oats…”, on Thursday, January 21st at 09:00 EST. The first presentation is “Rethinking Genebank Management”, presented by Theo van Hintum (CGN, NL).

Also on Thursday, January 21st, the Practical Farmers of Iowa AGM begins.

The University of Minnesota Plant Breeding Center is holding a Phenomics Working Group discussion on Friday, January 22nd at 11:00 EST. Titled “Benefits and Challenges of Implementing UAV-based Phenotyping in Field Settings", Ian McNish will be one of the speakers.
