Oat Global is hiring!

Dear Colleagues, Oat Global is hiring!

We are excited to share that our growth in 2017 has opened the door for us to add a full-time leadership position! The Oat Global Associate Director will help expand Oat Global into a broader oat research and extension innovation platform with global reach and impact. We are relying on you- our colleagues and supporters- to help us identify the right candidate for this job. Please share widely, and think creatively about who would be a good fit.

Who are we?

The Stakman-Borlaug Center (SBC) for Sustainable Plant Health at the University of Minnesota is a research and outreach leader in plant health, food security, and environmental sustainability. Oat Global, led by the SBC, is a public-private partnership committed to improving resilience, quality, and value of oat by coordinating precompetitive research, breeding and extension on a global scale. Oat Global enjoys broad visibility and partnerships in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Europe that represent researcher, extension, farmer, miller, and food processor interests.  More information about the SBC can be found at: sbc.umn.edu.  More information about Oat Global can be found at: oatglobal.org.

Who are you?

An ideal candidate will demonstrate a functional knowledge of agricultural systems, agribusiness, public private partnerships and program scale up. A key requirement is demonstrated experience in fundraising from multiple sources, from private solicitations to grant writing. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of growing initiatives, businesses, or projects from the ground up. Someone who is experienced in designing organizational structures and in advocacy with private entities and government officials will find the most success in this position.
