New year, new job?
Happy New Year, everyone!
If you or someone you know is looking for work, there are two new job openings, both with closing dates of January 9th. The first is with the USDA-ARS Cereal Crops Research Unit in Fargo, North Dakota, which has an opening for a Biological Science Technician (US citizens and nationals only). The second is in Sweden, where SLU Alnarp is offering a Post-doc position in Genomic Prediction and Association Genetics.
Even those of us with established careers must continue to learn. There will be an oat agronomy webinar held by Canadian company Alliance Seed on Wednesday, January 11th, at 10:00 am MST (UTC -7). Remember, too, that the next “Speaking of Oats…” webinar will be on Tuesday, January 17th, at 10:30 am EST (UTC -5). This webinar will feature Sarah Clarke from ADAS, UK, who will be speaking about “Understanding UK Oats: Physiology and Nutrition”. Keep an eye on the calendar for more webinars and events coming up this year!
I heard recently that it’s traditional in Poland to throw oats at one another for good luck in the New Year. Please imagine me showering you with oats for a wonderful 2023!
