50 Years of PGRC (Plant Gene Resources of Canada), Saskatoon, SK, Canada
Join us to celebrate 50 years of PGRC August 5 and 6, 2020 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada!
Plant Gene Resources of Canada (PGRC) started its operation as the Canadian national genebank for plant genetic resources for food and agriculture in 1970. It is now a respected member of an international network of genebanks and collaborates with partners worldwide.
To mark the occasion, a two-day event at the Agriculture and Agri-food Canada Saskatoon Research and Development Centre is proposed. The event will take place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and will be a chance for experts in the field to collaborate, learn and make connections.
“Plant Gene Resources of Canada (PGRC) 50 Years Anniversary - Symposium and Workshop”
- Day 1: a symposium including a tour of the PGRC facilities demonstrating seed storage, as well as field and greenhouse regeneration.
- Day 2: a workshop where curators and technical staff from Canada and the international genebanks will interact and share knowledge.
We encourage you to mark these dates (August 5th and 6th, 2020) on your calendar. More detailed information about the event will follow in the coming months.
We look forward to seeing you there!
With kind regards,
Dr. Axel Diederichsen
